Projects
Case Study 1

i) The customer's original request was "we want a water feature over by those rabbits on the lawn..."

ii) Ideas developed during the initial consultation, and we decided to create a "feature pond",and using the natural lie of the land, build an adjoining stream with a series of holding pools with low-rise waterfalls.

iii) The customer had an interest in keeping Koi carp, so the pond structure developed to accommodate this, and needed to be of adequate size. A biological filtration system was also installed.

iv) A few patio areas, using a natural sandstone were developed alongside the pond, providing a perfect area for relaxation, with the introduction of new steps and walkways adding ease of access and interest as you walk around the feature.

v) Marsh marigolds, and iris provide just some of the pond ledge plants, with waterlilies and oxygenators in the deeper areas. Colourful shrubs, herbaceous planting, scented plants and alpines surround the patios and line the walkways.
Case Study 2

i) Initially confronted with a chaotic weedy jumble, an initial consultation revealed that Ann was a keen gardener who had become unable to upkeep her garden.

ii) Andy set to work with the mini digger, removing weeds and creating structure by creating curvacious pathways and borders leading the eye through the garden. Fresh topsoil enriched the borders and existing beds.

iii) Ann was keen for us to reuse materials in the garden, such as paviers and paving slabs. The paving slabs were laid between the pathways and a decorative gravel lightens the pathway areas.

iv) The garden is planted up using existing plants plus some new additions of the customers choosing, and can be enjoyed once more.
